Director

Allie made her Edinburgh Fringe Debut at the Gilded Balloon with this dark comedy about a mother of two struggling to support her kids while her husband is behind bars.

 
 

Allie is an early career playwright who aims to challenge how we think about bodies, history, and their intersection.

She is currently researching and working on her Masters Dissertation play, TIll The Fat Lady Screams. Which is a chaotic story of three women facing the historic and contemporary implications of fatness and how they can combat fatphobia.

Allie made her acting and playwriting debut at the 2024 Edinburgh Fringe Festival at Paradise in Augustines with this exciting new play.

Two childhood friends clash at a wedding in a rush of chaos, heartbreak, and discovering the importance of growth.

Aqua Sorella by Allie Willison

Recently showcased at Tired Horse Theatre Company’s Scratch Night, The Agora, in Glasgow.

Set in Renaissance Italy, this play follows two sisters trained as professional poisoners by the famed Giulia Tofana as they struggle to survive, fall in love, and ultimately are faced with impossible choices. It explores the themes of bodily autonomy, the truth of love, and the strength of solidarity between women.
